Chartered accountant with two decades in finance leadership, including CFO experience at a public university, Acting CFO and GM Finance at NSFAS, and Associate Director at EY. Has led budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling at institutional scale, and has built the Power Query and Power BI automation and self-service reporting that replaced manual finance processes.

He has over 5 years of hands-on experience building, deploying and managing Power BI projects and training programmes, working directly with finance and reporting teams to turn manual, spreadsheet-based processes into automated, trusted reporting. His project experience includes management accounts automation, procurement analytics, payroll analytics, registration and admission dashboards, funder reconciliations and close-out reporting. He publishes regularly on BI, AI and finance automation.

Chipo is a senior finance professional with over 20 years of experience across financial reporting, management accounting, audit, and project finance. Her career spans the private sector — including listed group AEEI — and higher education, where she currently serves as Finance Business Partner at the University of Fort Hare.

She has extensive experience preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements, managing external audits, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and managing grant and project funding compliance. She has held Finance Manager roles with responsibility for full financial management, board reporting, and teams of direct reports.

Her background in both internal and external audit gives her a strong controls and governance perspective, which she brings to client engagements alongside her practical finance management experience.
